Описание A set of original songs for young voices, with piano/keyboard accompaniment, which includes an overview of scenes for a dramatic performance. The music is based on Smetana's work 'Vltava', which tells the story of the river in his homeland, the former Czechoslovakia, and can support work on developing understanding of this piece of classical music. The river starts high in the mountains, weaving its way first into a forest, then past a village where a wedding taking place. It moves on into a moonlit night with fairies dancing on the water and an eerie castle standing on the river bank. The river swells and there is opportunity for children to develop their own percussive sounds as it reaches the 'rapids'. Finally the 'Vltava' flows into the city of Prague and on to the sea.
